Embark on a transformative journey with our run club, forged by years of athletic experience and professional coaching. Our inspiration comes from the Croatia Dubrovnik Half Marathon, a renowned event that encapsulates the spirit of endurance and community. Dedicated to giving back, we've partnered with Bar Non Solo restaurant and Asics NZ to introduce Auckland to the exhilarating Kiwi Running Hero Events.

Join us every Tuesday night 5:30pm (Starting January 16th 2024) in the heart of Auckland's Britomart for a weekly run/walk event, designed for individuals who share a common unity for inspiring others to lead happier, healthier lives and strive for success.

What defines a Running Hero?

A Running Hero is someone who:

  • Embraces big, audacious goals.

  • Leads and inspires through actions, not just words.

  • Finds energy after a challenging day to tackle everyday tasks with enthusiasm.

  • Stands up for and defends those in need.

  • Dedicates themselves to a cause.

  • Prioritizes self-improvement and serves as an inspiration for happiness, health, and achievement.

Your Cost:

  • Weekly participation: $8 per run

  • Monthly pass: $27

  • Season/annual pass: $224

  • A Kiwi Running Hero T-shirt: $49.95

Your entry includes:

  • Participation in the event.

  • Coaching support through our dedicated Facebook group. Including an array of flexibility, mobility, stability and strengthening specific running tips.

The Program:

Our educational program centers around a scientific approach of heart rate-based running and walking, incorporating four different focuses:

Run 1/ Week 1: Steady Rate State

  • Tailored to beginners, intermediates, and advanced participants.

  • Duration: Beginners (20-30min), Intermediate (30-40min), Advanced (40min+).

  • Not sure where to start? We'll help you determine a safe starting distance.

Run 2/ Week 2: Intervals/ Repetition Training

  • Varied repetitions for beginners, intermediates, and advanced runners.

  • Rest periods: 90-120 seconds.

Run 3/ Week 3: Fartlek/ Speed Play

  • Incorporates easy and tempo segments.

  • Duration: Beginners (20-30min), Intermediate (30-40min), Advanced (40min+).

Run 4/ Week 4: Hill and Strength Session

  • Customized repeats for beginners, intermediates, and advanced participants.

  • Duration: 10mtrs/10sec, 20mtrs/20sec, 30mtrs/30sec, respectively.
